Keanu Reeves Says His Knees Might Prevent Him From Making John Wick 5
Keanu Reeves remains open to starring in John Wick 5, though he expresses concerns about the physical demands of the role. In a CBS News interview, the 60-year-old actor acknowledged his willingness while being realistic about his physical limitations, particularly regarding his knees.
"You can never say never," Reeves stated. "My knees right now are saying, 'I can't do another John Wick.' So my heart does, but I don't know if my knees can do it."
John Wick: Chapter 4's ending left room for interpretation, with Winston Scott visiting Wick's gravestone, while a curious detail involving Wick's dog hints at potential survival. Director Chad Stahelski revealed they chose this ambiguous ending after test audiences strongly rejected an alternative version.
While John Wick 5 remains uncertain, fans can expect to see Reeves reprise his role in the spinoff "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina." The film stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, an assassin-in-training with the Ruska Roma, and takes place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum. The spinoff is scheduled for theatrical release on June 6, 2025.
