In CSGO, ADR stands for "Average Damage per Round." It's a crucial statistical metric that measures how much damage a player deals to enemies on average in each round of a match.

As a key performance indicator, ADR helps players and teams evaluate individual effectiveness in games. The calculation is simple: take the total damage dealt and divide it by the total number of rounds played.

For example, if I deal 2000 damage over 20 rounds, my ADR would be 100. This means I'm averaging 100 damage per round, which is generally considered good performance at higher levels of play.

A quick ADR reference guide:

  • Below 50: Needs improvement
  • 50-70: Average
  • 70-90: Above average
  • 90+: Excellent performance

It's important to note that ADR isn't everything. While high ADR typically indicates good aim and engagement skills, it doesn't always reflect other valuable contributions like strategic play, communication, or utility usage.

You can check your ADR during matches through the scoreboard, and many third-party services track this stat across your gaming history. Most competitive players aim to maintain an ADR of at least 75 to be considered effective team members.

Remember that ADR can vary significantly based on your role. Entry fraggers typically have higher ADR due to their aggressive playstyle, while support players might have lower ADR despite being equally valuable to the team.
