Charlie Cox is training to reprise his role as Daredevil for the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday, according to a now-edited Instagram post by DFRNT Health and Fitness. The gym shared photos of Cox and his wife training, initially revealing his involvement in the next Avengers project.

Cox previously portrayed Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Netflix series and later appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo. While Marvel hasn't officially confirmed his role in Doomsday, Cox will star in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ in March 2025.

Joe and Anthony Russo are returning to direct both Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. Robert Downey Jr. joins the cast as the main villain, Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom, marking a significant shift from his decade-long role as Iron Man.

The confirmed cast includes:

• Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman
• Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
