Batman makes his first DCU appearance in Creature Commandos episode 6, shown briefly in silhouette form overlooking Doctor Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk) from a rooftop. This marks the character's official introduction to James Gunn's DC Universe.

James Gunn revealed that initial edits included more Batman scenes, but he intentionally reduced the character's screen time to maintain mystery, opting for a more subtle silhouette approach.

The Batman appearing in Creature Commandos is confirmed to be the DCU's version, distinct from Robert Pattinson's portrayal in Matt Reeves' separate universe. This appearance establishes Batman as an existing, experienced hero in the DCU, eliminating the need for another origin story.

"He already exists in this universe, just like when we come to the Superman movie, we see that Superman already exists," Gunn explained. "That's just a way to introduce that Batman is a part of this universe. He's an important part of this universe, and he has an impact on it."

While The Brave and the Bold will feature the live-action DCU Batman, director Andy Muschietti confirmed the project has been temporarily delayed. Nevertheless, Gunn expressed enthusiasm about future plans for the character: "This is the DCU Batman. We're going to do great things with him. He's the most popular superhero in the world, and I can't wait for people to see more of him along with Superman and together."

This brief introduction sets the stage for Batman's larger role in upcoming DCU projects, suggesting significant interactions with other heroes, particularly Superman, in future installments.
